Christmas
I am way behind on blogging, but it is my new goal to blog more. Christmas was nice and simple, despite that ALL four of us were sick during the holiday weeks. Except for the Del Taco run for dinner, we stayed home all day. Job got me a new camera which will give me a greater desire to take more pictures. Porter got a bike and Job took him out for a ride on Christmas Day and he did amazing, despite the helmet that was too small. Annie got a small rocking chair and her and Porter got a play kitchen, which they love. I had drawings of the kids done for Job, maybe someday I will put up copies of them. Even though we were all sick, we had a very nice day.

Road Trip with Friends
This should have been posted months ago. The kids and I took a road trip in August to Manteca with some friends in our ward. Two mommies with 5 kids all 3 and under. We stayed for a long weekend and the kids enjoyed being with Grandpa and Grandma Brooksby. Porter seemed to be the first up every morning so we spent that time doing puzzles and playing Candyland.

Porter, Annie, Grandma and I went to the park by the library one afternoon and the kids played at the splash pad. Later that day we enjoyed the water toys at Grandpa and Grandma's.

The kids enjoying their Popsicles. Parker, Aaden, Annie and Porter.

Grandpa built a fire and we made s'mores!

We went to the temple for my friend Sarah's friend's wedding.

On our way home we stopped at Bravo Farms to let the kids play and eat. It is definitely a place worth going back.

Stradlings in San Diego
At the end of July we went down to San Diego to see the Stradlings, who were vacationing there. It is always so much fun to get our kids together and to talk with good friends.

Lovely Idaho
We went to Idaho!! The kids and I flew up on July 15, Job flew up on the 20 and we all flew home together on the 26. Oh my, oh my how much fun we had. My sister Lori had her second daughter, which was being blessed, and her husband graduated from BYUI. Our trip was filled with lots of fun, some of which I never got photos of :(
The kids spent hours outside playing.
We took the kids to the park a few times.
The did some mushroom hunting in the back yard. It reminded me of my Grandpa Palmer.
The kids made peanut butter play dough with Grandma and they LOVED it!! Porter and Brooklyn sat there for what seemed like hours.
We went with Aunt Christina to the lake for her YSA activity. Porter and Annie love the water.
Lori surprised Kurt with a motorcycle for his graduated. It was the one he looked at several times, but she convinced him not to get it, when in reality she had worked a deal with the guy selling it. Sneaky girl. He loves it.
Great Grandma Beth was able to come too, and Porter LOVED having her around. He always preferred doing things with her or having her by him. We were able to visit Job's Uncle Kevin and his wife and one of his daughters, Kjerstin, and her family. I am so glad we were able to visit with them. This was the first REAL time I have had that pleasure. What great people. Kjerstin's kids are so close to ours. Boston and Porter are a few days apart and Annie and Chloe are about 6 months apart. They all had so much fun together.
The day Grandpa and Grandma left we were able to snap some pictures.
One of the joys of going was being able to visit a few of the families Job loved on his missions. Since he served his mission in the Pocatello mission, he has quite an attachment there, which is okay with me. The Wards took us to lunch to "That One Place" (something like that). Delicious food and wonderful company. We were also able to visit the Hoffmans, which is always a delight. The kids LOVED playing catch with their dog. What a wonderful couple.
We love, love, love Idaho and cannot wait to get back. Maybe some day we can open our dream bakery in that lovely, quiet place. Until we get back we will only dream of it.

Chino Youth Museum
For play group last month we went to the Chino Youth Museum. The kids had so much fun with ALL their friends.
We drove with the Westovers. Five kids and two adults in a car made for seven. Don't they all look so cozy. You can see all of them in some way.
Little Annie, who is sometimes the ONLY girl in the group of friends, being all cute in her tutu in front of the vanity. I would have said mirror but thought I should keep it as feminine as possible.
Putting on a puppet show.
Fireman Porter
Ballerina Astronaut Annie. She wore that tutu the whole time.
Being bankers
Checking out the water room his Zachary.
In jail. What a cute little boy.
I had this smart idea of going to a dairy after the museum. Katelyn thought it was smart too, until we got there. First we got lost because we thought it would help to look for cows while looking for the dairy. No cows, just a warehouse. No ice cream cones either. We were a bummed, but decided to go anyways. We had to go in a small office and order what we wanted, by the box. Next we took our order slip to another spot and waited for someone to bring us our treats. We thought we were ordering some what normal otter pops, but they turned out to be HUGE. The kids loved them, I am sure it was probably because it was a huge thing of sugary juice.
I am still going to try and find a dairy where it actually feels like a dairy, you know, real cows and ice cream. When I do, I will let you know.
4th of July
We spent the 4th of July with our wonderful friends, the Westovers. We started the day off on a double date, shooting. Lots of fun, too bad Katelyn only had her camera. Maybe someday I will get some photos. We ended it off with a bbq at Jared and Ashley's with friends and family.
Porter and Ethan loved playing on the play set, and they played very well together.
Ethan and Logan Westover playing in the water. They were such goof balls, adorable goof balls.
Grandma Jones and Annie. I love snapping pictures with grandparents in it. It seems I never have enough.
This was a favorite, pushing down the hill in the cars. Don't worry, no one got hurt.
I LOVE Katelyn's face in this one. She was not so sure about her boys going down. Logan, the one on the left, wasn't so sure about it either.
Cute little Jaxon. If you look closely you can see teeth marks on his cheek. That, I am sad to say, was cute, little, innocent Annie. I am sure she was just trying to give him loves.
Picture with my girl!
Logan deciding if he really wants to go down ....
and he did, and he loved it.
Lots of fun in the sun with our friends and family.
